Happy Halloween

When I was writing the poem I was struggling to come up with a topic. When I write anything I like to make it my best. When I finally got my idea everything started to flow together. I did have to start over twice because my lines were constantly changing for better.

AP Class 10/30/19

Today we learned about how to take your talent to the next level. I learned that being a writer requires so much more than just writing. It requires you to read. Me not being a big fan of reading was really shocked. I know it helps develop style but I never knew it could change your whole perspective to writing. Me being passionate about writing, this has really changed me.

Vocabulary Recap

Today we went over projects for our vocabulary quizzes. To say the least I really struggled with this project. Finding videos that pertain to the words was so difficult because, yes we do have lots of memes and short videos, but we do not understand the meaning nor if they pertain to the words. This project, despite the struggle, has helped me learn new vocabulary and how to apply them to everyday life. It was also funny to use these words to describe my friends actions and to have them understand.

Today

We took a placement test for next semester AP History. During the test I felt like I was stressing but I know whatever happens can help me improve and learn more.

10/23/19

Today in my fourth block class was fun. We learned about everyone’s personality and how everyone will react to different scenarios. I learned that I had looked at someone and want their confidence level and to do that I had to start stepping out of my comfort zone.

We had so much fun presenting projects today. I remember when I was so stressed about trying to figure out creative ways to express my ideas about the word. I remember I wasted 3 papers wanting to get the right ones for my presentation. We were able to express our creativity and I enjoy doing that. We also learned about Similes and the more in depth definitions.

Regular day in an AP Class

We discussed many different views on the health crisis in the workplace and how we feel they could be solved. We discussed as a class whether or not we think the decisions was fair on unfair. We also stated our opinion on how different occupations require different health guidelines.

October 17, 2019

Today in class we did not get to learn anything new because our teacher was absent.

Rhetorical Devices

In class we learned about different Rhetorical Devices and learned how to use them. Such as Hypophora and Litotes. A hypophora is where you tell the opposite of a sentence such as, Today was no one of the coldest days in the city. But the real meaning is that it was actually really hot.

Start of a new Quarter

Today in class we were given an assignment on Vocabulary and have a project due Tuesday, October 23. I wasn’t able to hear or see the second part of class because I was excused with an early dismissal.

Today in class we had a group present their project. We learned about chapter 16 of Wild. We learned that Cheryl’s mom was a good women but I was somethings that Cheryl seen that made her mother a bad mom to her.

Today in class we discussed how we are going to reschedule our class project due to the schedule change so we could take the PreACT.
